Participate

You want to demonstrate your ability, gain new experiences and meet interesting people. You haven’t started your studies at a university or a university of applied sciences yet.

If these two things apply to you then participate in this year’s Physics Olympiad!

For the physics camp and from the 2nd round onwards, you must be born no earlier than 1. July 2004 for the 2024/2025 edition and you must have a connection to Switzerland or Liechtenstein. Details can be found in the regulations. Exceptions are possible under certain circumstances.

What awaits me?

The first round is an online test. The exam can be solved on our website and will take 40 minutes. Registration and participation are possible from August to September. If you excel at this exam, you will be invited to the physics camp. There you will meet like-minded people and learn everything you need to know for the second round. Interested?

How can I prepare?

You don’t need to prepare. It’s important that you enjoy Physics. If you want to practice anyway, you can find exams from previous years here. We recommend that you participate in the training camps in Vordemwald and at EPFL.
