You want to demonstrate your ability, gain new experiences and meet interesting people. You go to school in Switzerland or Liechtenstein or you are Swiss citizen. You haven’t started your studies at a university or a university of applied sciences yet.

If these three things apply to you then participate in this year’s Physics Olympiad!

In the 2022/2023 edition students must be born no earlier than 1. July 2002.

(Exceptions are possible under some circumstances, please contact us for further information and consult the regulations.)

What awaits me?

The first round is an online test. The exam can be solved on our website and will take 40 minutes. Registration and participation are possible from August to September. If you excel at this exam, you will be invited to the physics camp.

There you will meet like-minded people and learn everything you need to know for the second round. Interested?

How can I prepare?

You don’t need to prepare. It’s important that you enjoy Physics. If you want to practice anyway, you can find exams from previous years here. We recommend that you participate in the training camps in Vordemwald and at EPFL.

Barrier-free Olympiads?

Do you need specific assistance for your participation due to a physical or psychological impairment, handicap or chronic illness? Find out more about how we can support your participation here and get in touch with us. We will do our best to ensure that everyone can participate fairly.
